This has absolutely nothing to do with design. But I laughed so so so hard. Original freak out first, and freakout remix second.

David Byrne & Brian Eno
"Brian Eno and I recently finished our first collaboration in about 30 years. The name of the new record is Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. For the most part, Brian did the music and I wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well. We're pretty excited.
The album is available exclusively from this Web site. You can stream all of the songs for free and purchase it in a variety of digital and physical formats, including a limited edition Deluxe Package designed by Sagmeister Inc. All formats can be downloaded immediately and physical CDs will be shipped in the Fall.

Love this song
Ali Farka Toure- Ai Du
I first heard it when I saw "Unfaithful" but when I was in Paris, they guy who served us breakfast would play this while we'd eat our baguette, croissant, and Jam.
I miss it

objectified
oh oh!! I've been seeing that logo everywhere but I didn't realize what it was. Watch me be completely out of the loop... but new movie from the maker of Helvetica!

oooo
"Objectified is a feature-length independent documentary about industrial design. It’s a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the people who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability. It’s about our relationship to mass-produced objects and, by extension, the people who design them. "

short snippet I took
For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself...

I really have to remember the screen trick they did where they were showing two separate action, or videos at once but blinking them so they were happening simultaneously...

Whitney Biennial
Its kind of really hard to find pictures that do anything there justice. But if I had to pick my faves-

Heather Rowe- Screen
It was pretty cool cuz as you walk by and other people walk by everyone gets reflected and cut off in awkward ways.

Julie meltzer and david thorne- epic
I personally really liked this one a lot. Its these two artists that lived in Damascus, Syria and this guy is talking about politics in a really arabic/metaphorical way that when translated to English is super lost on its meaning.

Carol Bove- the night sky over new york
This was just pretty. ha.

Cai Guo Qiang
went to the Guggenheim last week to see Cai Guo Qiang's I want to believe exhibit. Its great on Friday nights cuz its pay as you wish. The work was really surreal- playing off a lot of imagery with animals. I wish I could have taken good photos, but the guards were watching like hawks. Pulled a few photos offline
