Tim Walker

While I was in London I saw his exhibit at the Design Museum. Its a lot more breathtaking when you can see them at full scale as opposed to small little online snippets of the images. Gorgeous anyways tho

buro destruct

These posters are great. A graphic design firm based in Switzerland

With the aim to encourage and promote young artists,
HGB Fideljus created the «Destruct Agentur» in 1992.
Teaming up with graphic-designer Lopetz in 1994,
the «art agency» changed into the graphic design bureau destruct
or «Buro Destruct», as it is known today.
The current crew counts 4 members:
MBrunner (70), H1reber (71), Heiwid (67) and Lopetz (71).

The Great Bear

"Adapting the official map of the London Underground, Patterson has replaced the names of stations with philosophers, actors, politicians and other celebrated figures. The title The Great Bear refers to the constellation Ursa Major, a punning reference to Patterson''s own arrangement of ''stars''. Patterson playfully subverts our belief that maps and diagrams provide a reliable source of information. ''I like disrupting something people take as read'', he comments."

clever. 1992, really famous tube map manipulation.

I really have to remember the screen trick they did where they were showing two separate action, or videos at once but blinking them so they were happening simultaneously...

Manamana. When you're blue.

LONDON LONDON

IM IN LONDON, BUGGAHS.

ive been here one day and already so many funny/random things

1. airport: "gum that replaces toothpaste! Chew on piece, and will clean your mouth!"
-- Child on a leash.
2. kid blasting eminem music on his phone to entertain an infant
3. i think "I wish there were promoters to get me in free" 30 second later it happens
--i think "i really need a hair iron after mine sizzled in the outlet" 30 s later "iron half off!"
--I think "i need a cell phone" 30 s later, virgin mobile appears.
4. ate dinner at "go sushi!" where they have a rotating conveyer belt that you take your food of off
5. boys.
7. lauren accidentally told an 70 year old man to fuck off since apparently a backwards peace sign means fuck you.

all in all, enjoying myself immensely.
